Brief History of Physics Department 

The Department of Physics was established in the College in the year 1983. The department has been offering Physics subject to Undergraduate students (B.Sc-MPC Programme) under the affiliation of Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry. Notable, eminent luminaries in the field of Physics were rendered their services in the department of Physics during the last 39 years. The faculty frequently uses the ICT-based teaching to create interest and improve the learning outcomes of the students. The department has well-equipped Laboratory to trigger the Scientific temper of the students. The department has flexibility in conducting student Assignments, Seminars, Quizzes, Remedial coaching etc for the better academic performance of the students. The faculty has good collaboration with eminent Scientists from Andhra University and Adikavi Nannaya University. The faculty members were actively participated in various training programmes like Faculty Development Programmes, Refresher Courses, Short-term Courses, Seminars, Conferences, and Workshops etc to update their Subject knowledge to meet the standards of teaching. The faculty has published good research papers in various reputed International Journals with high Impact factor. The department intends to take lead role in the revolutionary changes for the Tribal people on energy conservation. The department extends the extension activities beyond the classroom in the form of conducting Field Visits and arranging Guest lectures from eminent personalities.
